How did you meet your spouse?
We met whilst working at the same company.
Tell us about your proposal
It was the day of our second child's Christening. We were getting ready at home, I was putting on a necklace when Doug walked up beside me, and asked 'do you want to wear this?' He opened the ring box, suffice to say I was in absolute shock. Tears and YES.
Tell us about your wedding dress. How was your experience when you were searching for "The One"?
I had an image of the sort of dress I wanted, lots of detail, some lace or beadwork with a fit and flare style. I tried some on and thought they were nice however there was a BUT...Carolyn then suggested I try a different style, so I popped on a A-line and I loved how it sat.
Describe a favourite highlight or two from your wedding day.
So hard, but I'd have to say seeing our two young kids dressed up and being so confident walking down the isle holding hands, and of course the moment we felt relaxed towards the end of the ceremony. Nerves just lifted and we were super happy and excited for the rest of the day.
Do you have any advice for couples currently planning their wedding?
The day goes by so quickly, so don't over plan your day or reception, just soak it in. You don't want to feel rushed throughout the day or night.
