How did you meet your spouse?
Santino & I met in 2019 one night out for dinner. We were friends with mutuals and the saying of “you will find your partner when you least expect it” was in fact true. After seeing each other at a few mutual events, we decided to catch up for a coffee date and the rest is history!
Tell us about your proposal
Our proposal was nothing short of amazing. We booked a Europe trip in 2024 and Santino proposed on 7th May 2024 in Lake Como, Italy. Santino had planned this moment in the lead up to our holiday and both our families kept the special secret and waited for the phone call to say we are engaged! The day was perfect and Santino proposed in a botanical garden villa off a tiny balcony over the lake. A special and personal moment I will never forget.
Tell us about your wedding dress. How was your experience when you were searching for "The One"?
Sposa will always play a special part in my wedding era. From the very moment I stepped in, the experience, care and amazing service I received was like nothing else I’ve experienced. I wasn’t rushed, I had multiple assistance from the team, passing by they all gave their opinion and made the whole experience so wholesome. The lovely ladies at Sposa got back to me quickly, kept me in the loop and created all the excitement leading up to my big day.
A massive thank you to Leffy. My alterations journey with her was honestly incredible. Her experience, skill and care is just incredible. She made my dress mine and tailored it to suit me. From my first alterations appointment to my final, I enjoyed every moment and had complete faith that she would make it perfect. Nothing seemed like a hassle, in fact, the ladies reminded me that we can do almost anything to the dress - we can make it mine! And that’s what helped me say yes to the dress. The custom element at Sposa makes the dress a bit more special.
Do you have any advice for couples currently planning their wedding?
Firstly for the brides, go to Sposa Bride! Your experience will be nothing short of special. For the couple, always remember to make your day mirror you as a couple. Skip the trends and make it authentic. Do whatever you both want, as it’s your day to celebrate. Plan together, try not to let it overwhelm or consume you, everything will come together perfectly. Enjoy the journey, it’ll be a great story one day. The day truly does fly by, so enjoy the lead up just as much!
